
The Jubilee Hills Police arrested seven people in connection with the alleged criminal plot leading to abuse of 8.71 GBP Lakh from the Auxiliary Minister Fund (CMRF).
The arrested persons are supplied by Ravi, 46, Janagama Nagaraju, 40, Matthew Bhasker, 33, Dharmaram Raju, 50, Kampalli Santhosh, 35, Chityla Laxmi, 65 and Asmelli Laxmi.
They were identified as fake recipients who fraudulently imposed sanctioning CMRF checks in their personal accounts and downloaded resources.
Incorrect acceptance was part of a wider criminal conspiracy involving many people, said Jubilee Hills officer.
“During the interrogation, the seven accused admitted to their participation and were made before the court for judicial links. They are the natives of Godavarikhani in the Pedadally district.”
The investigation is based on the identification of other individuals involved and the renewal of abused resources.
“Some of the accused have been identified, but they are escape,” the officer said.
Earlier, July 15, four accused – Yogula Naresh Kumar, 42, Balagani Venkatesh, 37, Korlapati Vamshi, 24, and Pulipaka Omkar, 34 were for similar offens in the case of an incorrect CMRF.
Modus operandi included abuse access to CMRF controls.
One of the earlier accused illegally took 230 unusual checks after 2023 elections and inserted 19 checks on SBI accounts using counterfeit details. The total amount abused by all accused was 8.71 GBP Lakh – which was divided between them.
