The delegation of all parties coordinated by the Federations of the Associations APsiation Apex Council on the islands of Goshree (Frag) will meet the main Minister Pinaayi Vijayan asking for the establishment of parallel bridges on Goshree First and the third bridge on the war.
The decision was adopted at the meeting of local chiefs of bodies, representatives of people and the Association of the inhabitants organized by Frag on Saturday. The meeting was attended by Presidents Mulovukada, Elamkunnapuzha, Nayarambbalam, Edavanakkad, Kuzharpily, Prolezen and Edappally Blocks. It also receives a request to be part of the Delegation of the Minister of Industry P. Rajeeve and the MLA KN Unnikrishnan.
Currently, only the second Gosrese Bridge has a parallel bridge. “The Goshree Islands Office has already earmarked funds and has gained the land for the proposed two parallel bridges,” said Anil Plavians, General Secretary Frag.
Meanwhile, the traffic growl along the Goshree bridges continued unchanged, with only 12 days left in the 25 -day window to restore the bridge parallel to the second Goshree bridge to be open to commuting. Islanders last for more than two months. The first and second bridges of Goshree are added to suffering. The situation was particularly poor on Saturday, with the traffic block and the queue of vehicles from the serpentine, which start directly from the intersection of High Court.
“If the restoration of the parallel bridge is not completed, as agreed within 25 days, we completely block the movement of the containers and siege the paid square in Mulavukad. The filling work on two bridges will probably begin as soon as the rain retreats.”
Although Frag and other participating parties demanded a total ban on the movement of containers across Goshree bridges during the top hours, the restriction was somewhat relaxed, given that it would create its own traffic block for top hours for top hours. “Current understanding is to allow containers from the terminal and three container stations every 20 minutes. However, there are cases where containers are stuck and subsequent traffic growth sometimes takes longer than an hour,” said Mr. Plavians.
