
On Tuesday, October 7, sophisticated measures were imposed for mega excursion to seniors from the municipal limits of Malappuram on Wayanad. Malappuram organizes a picnic, is expected to attract more than 3,000 older people and potentially set a record for the largest trip of seniors organized by the local civic authority.
The village organized 80 buses for Wayanad. Buses will start on Tuesday around 6.30 am around their historic journey from Kottakkunn and lead seniors from 40 departments of Malappuram. Prominent personalities, including MLA and district administration officials, will be seen by buses.
“It is not just a trip for older people from Malappuram. It’s a gesture of love and gratitude. They are our pillars and have contributed immensely to their main.
The excursion will be covered by destinations such as Lake Pookode and the Karapuzha dam in Wayanad. A special arrangement was made on Thamarassery Pass to prevent traffic growth along the Ghat road. Near Arekode was organized two auditoriums for serving breakfast and dinner.
Lunch will be organized in the Muttil auditorium in Wayanad. The excursion is arranged in such a way that it returns to Malappuram by 22:00. The municipality will cover all expenses on the tour. It will donate participants of umbrellas, Dhhar, towels and other gifts.
A medical team with a doctor for each village will join a trip in three ambulances. Replacement buses will be located in Thamarassery and Kalpetta in case of failures. The 40 ₹ Lakh budget will be included in the municipality’s own funds and sponsorship.
