
The head of the Indian administrative service (IAS) ALOK, who worked as another main secretary in the Energy Department of Rajasthan, died on Monday (June 2, 2025) in Nový Delhi after a short illness. He was 59.
Mr. Alok underwent cancer treatment after he was admitted to the hospital in the national capital last month. In 1993-IAS officer of the Rajasthanský cadre held several key positions across various departments in the state government. Between 2020 and 2024 he was represented by the center.
Alok, widely considered an expert in the energy sector, was born in 1966 and held a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. On Monday evening he was cremated at the crematorium of the Lodhi Road in Nový Delhí.
Governor Rajasthan Haribhau Bagade, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and several other leaders, including former main Minister Ashok Gehlot, expressed their condolences. A number of sessions of the department and official revisions scheduled for Monday were postponed as a sign of respect for the remote bureaugrind.
