On Sunday, Senior Living Conclave 2025, organized by the Hindu group in cooperation with Ashiana Vatsalya. The event focused on the growing demand for structured housing of seniors and the need for inclusive communities suitable with the elders.
The conclave combined more than 350 participants, including seniors, carers and industrial experts. Sessions dealt with retirement, wellness, assisted care and home support of the elders.
Ankur Gupta, a common CEO, Ashiana Housing Ltd., spoke of the continuing care communities (CCRC), fall management systems, emergency care services and shift towards aging with autonomy and dignity. He pointed to the growing share of Tamil over the projects of seniors, especially in Coimbatore, Chennai and Kancheepuram.
The event was anchored by Radhashiva Mani, resident of Ashiana Shaubham, who shared her decision to move from Calcutta to Chennai. “SHUBHAM felt good,” she said. “It was thoughtfully designed for the elderly, like us, care, comfort and community.”
The panel discussion represented other inhabitants of Ashiana SHUBHAM. Ramakrishhnan VV and his wife spoke about their movement and how they adapted to the new environment. Resident Shantha Mathew shared her own YouTube channel after settling. The inhabitants of L. Balasubhramanian described participation in cultural events and theater. The residents of Ravindra and his wife spoke of the assurance that they had given their step to their family.
Tamil Nadu currently has an estimated 18 to 25 living projects of seniors. Common features include the floor against harm, error rods, emergency call systems and internal health care support. Other equipment includes yoga halls, hobby clubs, sidewalks, eating and cleaning.
The visit to Ashiana Vatsalya was organized after the Conclave for participating participants.
