Senior BJP leader H. Raja collapsed on stage during a public event in Chennai on Friday and was taken to a private hospital.
Senior BJP leader and former Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, who is a doctor and was present at the spot, provided emergency aid and escorted him to the hospital.
Dr. Soundararajan said she noticed Mr. Raja’s discomfort on the dais when he was about to drink water and get up from his chair while she sat from the dais. “I rushed to him as he seemed weak and sleepy. I provided immediate aid and we rushed him to a nearby hospital. He was later shifted to another hospital and is now relatively better,” she added.
