The Kannur University Senate rejected the resolution proposed by members of the Senate of the United Democratic Fronts (UDF) requiring the withdrawal of the University financing law and the granting of a travel allowance and a daily contribution for teachers in evaluation camps.
The resolution was voted because left -wing members were against them together. In response to the Kerala Private College Teachers Association, Government College Teachers Organization and Confederation of Keral College Teachers Organization, this decade condemned and described it as an attitude against teachers.
The Senate also discussed alleged financial discrepancies of 22 Crore, which covered an audit report from 2022 to 2023.
