
Minister of Departments for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday introduced a 32 -bit Vikram processor and tested chips from four approved projects to Prime Minister Narendra Modim in the Semicon India 2025.
Vikram 32 -bit processor revealed
Vikram, developed by the Indian Space Research Organization, is the first fully indigenous 32 -bit microprocessor certified for use in extreme starting vehicles. Together with 28 other chips designed by students as part of the Chips to Děstice program, it was produced and packed in the center of Mohali Semiconductor.
“Only a few years ago we first met to create a new beginning driven by the forested vision of our Prime Minister, and we launched an Indian semiconductor mission. In a short range of 3.5 years, we looked confidently with India.
During the addressing of global societies, he added: “We live in unprecedented times and the global policy of politics has created great uncertainty. In these turbulent times, India is a stability and growth. In these uncertain times, you should come to India because our policies are stable.”
Semicon India 2025 opens in a new Delhi
The aim of the three -day conference in India Semicon, open in Nový Delhi, is to strengthen the country’s semiconductor ecosystem. According to the Prime Minister’s office, the event will take place on Thursday and include a round table with global CEOs.
The conference meeting will be dealt with in the production of semiconductors and advanced packages, infrastructure preparedness, artificial intelligence and research innovation, investment opportunities, intelligent production and implementation of policy at the state level. Reserved segments will also focus on the design of the interconnected motivational system, launch ecosystem, international cooperation and work development.
This year’s edition was triggered by more than 20,750 participants, including more than 2,500 delegates from 48 countries, 150 speakers and more than 350 exhibitors. The program also includes round tables and pavilions specific to countries.
The conference in India Semicon was previously held in Bengalur (2022), Gandhinagar (2023) and Greater Noida (2024).
