
Security was tightened across Mumbai after the police received a social media report on “Hindu-Muslim Ungust, arson and Bombs” during EID in “areas like Dongri” “Illlegal Rohingya/Bangladeshi/Pakistani infiltrators”, said the official on Friday.

The warning was accepted on Thursday morning X, while the Police of Navi Mumbai was marked, the official added. She asked the police to stay on the emergency room because “March 31-Duba 1,2025, during EID, some illegal Rohingya/Bangladesh/Pakistani infiltrators remaining in areas like Dongri, they can incite Hindu Muslim unhacks, arson and bomb explosions”.
After their counterparts Navi Mumbai was warned, the police in Mumbai tightened safety over the metropolis and also increased babysitting in areas like Dongri, the official said, adding that nothing suspicious or inappropriate has been reported.
“In addition to the police staff in Mumbai, a branch of crime, anti -terrorism and special branches are also on increased vigilia,” he said.

As stated by PTI, these instructions aim to ensure a quick clarification or response to any inaccurate or misleading messages. According to the Government Resolution (GR) issued on Friday, the General Directorate for Information and Public Relations (DGIPR) publishes reports from press, electronic and digital platforms that contain factual errors.
The General Directorate for Information and Public Relations (DGIPR) will collect news reports in press and electronic media and digital platforms that are actually incorrect.
As regards the report in printed media, DGIPPr will share it with the relevant government department, which will collect the necessary information and will provide it with DGIPR within 12 hours.
GR said that as regards any inaccurate reports published by electronic/digital media, the DGIPR should be given feedback and reaction or sound byte of the minister or official concerned.
