The Jharkhand Police strengthened security throughout the state with the deployment of the armed forces in sensitive places and traffic corridors, as the prohibited CPI (Maoist) announced the “Resistance Week” of Wednesday (8 October 2025) and called for Bandh (Strike) 15 October.

The General Inspector (Operation) Michael Raj said PTI that the 12 Central Reserve Police Battalions and 20 groups of Jharkhand’s armed police (JAP) and India Reserve Battalion (IRB) were pushed into service to ensure safety and safety during the weekly protest and Bandh called Maoists.
“Maintaining peace and security across the state is the highest priority of the police. We have deployed other forces in sensitive places, government offices and traffic corridors, including rail and road networks to ensure that normal movement is not disturbed,” the policeman said.
The police are also aimed at solving possible impacts in districts bordering Bihar, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Raj said.
In a statement issued on Tuesday (October 7), the state police urged the public not to pay the attention of rumors and continue their daily activities without fear.
“Citizens who face any problems are recommended that the authorities immediately inform the authorities. The Jharkhand police ensured continuous vigilance and support for the protection of the safety and security of all residents,” said Raj.
Police sources said that continuous combat and search operations and recent success in the form of elimination and submitting the searched Maoists pushed left -wing extremists (LWE) on the verge.
“Their presence is limited to several pockets in the Saranda forest and in some stains of Latehar and Chatry in Jharkhand,” the officer said.
