Security guard killed in accident on NH-44; the police launched a search for the driver

A 37-year-old watchman was killed in an accident on National Highway-44 near Raja Rajeshwari Temple under Petbasheerabad police station on Thursday evening.

The deceased was identified as Domakonda Chinna Sailu, a resident of Kompalla. The complaint was filed by his wife Domakonda Anuradha.

According to the police, Chinna Sailu had finished his shift at the Reliance warehouse in Devarayanjal and was returning home on his motorcycle at around 10 pm on July 2. At around 10:30 pm while taking a left turn near Raja Rajeshwari Temple on NH-44, an unidentified vehicle was traveling at high speed and collided with a motorcycle.

He suffered fatal injuries from which he died on the spot. The vehicle involved in the accident fled the scene, police said.

Acting on the complaint, the Petbasheerabad police registered a case and started an investigation.

Police said they are trying to identify the vehicle and its driver by examining CCTV footage, technical evidence and other clues.

The Petbasheerabad police appealed to the public to provide any information that could help identify the vehicle or driver involved in the accident.
