Web3 security company Goplus has launched a dedicated browser extension to improve security in the Web3 community. Based in the British Virgin Islands, the company has launched Goplus Security Extension, compatible with browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. The move comes after a surge in security breaches within the $3.34 trillion global cryptocurrency sector.
The extension seems to have been on browser testing for some time. According to its Google Chrome webstore list, the extension has received 3,000 users and five-star ratings.
“Goplus is using its transparent user-security network to transform Web3 security, which provides open access to secure data. It provides modular user security as a service for any blockchain,” notes the description on the Chrome Web Store.
Goplus releases a note saying that the browser extension includes features such as risk scanning for digital wallets, warning alerts, to-do lists and customizable security policies.
Goplus has integrated artificial intelligence (AI) into its Web3 secure browser extension, which has AI robots and provides users with 24/7 support.
“This product is not only about identifying risks; it is about giving users eternal peace of mind. By filling in key gaps in existing security tools, we are creating a safer and more trustworthy ecosystem.” Co-founder of Goplus Security Eskil Tsu said.
Apart from its other features, the extension brings a “security layer” that Goplus interprets as a comprehensive protection of “all chain activity.”
“Whether users are transferring tokens, interacting with smart contracts or exploring decentralized applications, the security layer can provide real-time, dynamic safeguards that provide end-to-end solutions covering the entire transaction lifecycle,” Goplus said.
It is worth noting that browsers like Chrome and Opera have been introducing Web3-friendly features to cater to the growing community. At the same time, scams and hackers targeting the Web3 department are also on the rise. Market participants and analysts have been strengthening the discussion to enhance the safety of the community.
