The Integrated Tribal Development Development Agency (ITDA-Rampachodavaram) Katta Simham’s project officer ordered a gram of Panchayat on Wednesday to register every marriage in the villages to protect tribal girls from imprisonment.
After reviewing the state of marriage in the tribal pockets, Mr. Simhachalam Gram Panchayat told secretaries that the failure of registrations led to many tribal girls cheated on non-tribals. “It is the task of the relevant Secretary of Panchayat to register every wedding. A gram sarpanch and the secretary would have aware of the need to register marriage among girls,” he said.
