With the exception of the larger area of the Bengaluru (GBA), the second socio-educational survey conducted by the State Commission of Karnataka for backward classes to start the population of seven crore on Monday Karnataka. In Bengalur, the list is expected to start after a few days due to administrative issues.
The use of electricity connection has been mapped up to two households of CRORE and is expected that the survey will be completed in fortnight. More than two Lakh teachers and others will be involved in the survey, during which the list will be close to households with a set of 60 questions. In addition to the door survey, the option was provided for the public to participate in the online survey.
With each denominator who was provided about 140 to 150 households, the Commission expects the reconnaissance work to be completed in 16 days.
Aadhaar authentication is used to prevent duplicity. Allocation card numbers will also be sought from households to speed up the survey process because it automatically obtains certain household data. “Since households are geo-chased, enumerations can be monitored to check whether the enumerator has left for the household or not. If the house is locked, there would be a stuck sticker to inform the inhabitants of the phone number they can contact for the list.”
Delay in Bengalur
In Bengalur, the survey will be delayed by several days. “Our plan is to start from Monday. Given the request of GBA bodies, we can be late for a day or two,” said the chairman of the Madhusudan Naik on Sunday here. He also stated that a survey in Bengalur could exceed the term 7 October.
According to Mr. Dayananda, households were mapped and geo-chased and were sought after the administrative comfort.
Asked if academic work would not be affected because schools start from 7 October, he said that they were connected in Bengalur with teachers. “We also did not accept many teachers in Bengalur.”
Previous reconnaissance work was not completed in the area of Bengalur due to complexity, such as lack of interest, work pairs, apartments and defended communities that, among other things, do not allow enumerators. While the Socio-Education Survey of the H. Kantharaj from 2015 reached 85% of the estimated population, the recent survey of the planned household HN Nagamohan Das Commission could reach about 54% in Bengalur.
In order to achieve more households, Mr. Dayanand said GBA authorities are planning a device where households could book slots for the list. In addition, the Commission has provided the opportunity to participate in the online survey by means of verification and enumeration of Aadhaar will be carefully monitored because it is geo-fingering.
