
In Kozhikode district, the second phase of randomization has been completed for the deployment of election officials ahead of the assembly elections. In the second phase, 13,640 officials were assigned in 13 constituencies to act as presiding officers and polling officers. They would be deployed in 2,837 polling stations.
There were 26,074 officials in the first phase of randomization. The third phase will be held on April 7. The process was completed under the supervision of two election observers appointed by the Election Commission of India. District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh presided over the process.
The electoral authorities said that the nomination order will be available for download from the shared software once the randomization procedures are completed. The training for the selected officials will be held from April 1 to April 4 in Kozhikode, they said.
