Markets regulator SEBI chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey met Canadian Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne to discuss ways to facilitate greater institutional investment and strengthen regulatory cooperation.
Mr. Pandey was accompanied during the discussions by Group Member Sandip Pradhan and Managing Director Maninder Cheema.
Discussions focused on facilitating greater institutional investment, strengthening regulatory cooperation and addressing issues of common concern, SEBI said in a filing on X on Saturday (Feb 28, 2026).
“The two sides discussed how both sides can further facilitate institutional investment, strengthen regulatory cooperation and other issues of common interest,” it noted.
