SDRF police inspector found dead in Belagavi

A 37-year-old police inspector of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was found dead in Belagavi on Thursday.

Shreeshail Chougale was sleeping in his room on Wednesday night after locking the door from inside. His wife, who was sleeping in another room, became concerned when he did not respond to her requests to wake him up.

She called his colleagues, who forced the door open. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A case has been registered.
