Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) state president CPA Latheef on Saturday termed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) action of attaching the party’s property in Thiruvananthapuram as born of political vendetta by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
He said the ED will be accepted legally and politically. “This is part of the fascist government’s hostile moves to silence the opposition parties in the country. Since this happened in the run-up to local body elections for which the party was actively preparing, it is an attempt to publicly defame the party and contain it,” he said.
