
As part of the second phase of arrogyam, Anandam – Keep Cancer Away, the Health Department campaign will be organized in the ALAPPUZHA district in the ALAPPUZHA district to detect oral and colon cancer in men, said District Collector Alex Varghese.
On Friday, he said that clinical screening camps would be carried out under the auspices of primary health centers, focusing on bus stands, authorickshaw stands, railway stations, government authorities, resident associations and self -help groups.
Men over 30 will be tested. The following treatment will be found with symptoms.
In the campaign, brochures will be read in mosques, churches and other places of worship. Questionnaires will be distributed to cancer awareness. The letter called Achhan Ariyaan, designed to help recognize the symptoms of cancer, will be spread through Anganwadis and schools in the district.
The campaign also includes activities such as Anti-Tabák’s awareness, transformation of schools into tobacco camps and the establishment of clinics for tobacco cessation.
Officials said that the aim of the second phase was to ensure the prevention of cancer in as many men as possible.
In the first phase of the campaign, cancer screening was performed in women. In 57 of them, a total of 1.20 846 women in the district were detected and cancer was detected in which medical treatment was provided.
