The Civil Defense Organization in the South Central Rail (CDO) plans to present advanced training modules including simulations of cyber attacks and the integration of cyber defense strategies.
The CDO unit with a focus on the protection of the railway network wants to use real -time monitoring systems and data analysis for effective response to emergencies. To do this, she was looking for reserved budgets for continuous training, improving equipment and infrastructure. It also wants to expand campaigns about passenger education and use of digital platforms, reported higher officials on Tuesday.
Railway officials pointed out that due to the growing digitization of railway operations, employees should also be up -to -date with the risks of cyber security. These programs must be adapted to volunteers, seminars employees, front line and staff on board, rail protection (RPF) strength, injury/medical assistance staff and other involved in critical security topics.
“Railways are a critical artery of the national economy and connectivity and are therefore prone to disruption of accidents, terrorist threats and natural disasters.
The security unit concentrated when it made a 45 -minute fake drill, while the country was preparing for the “Sindoor” in Kacheguda, Raichur and Aurangabad last week. Here, railway staff volunteers simulated enemy attack scenarios, tested the activation of Air Raid sirens, passenger evacuation, fire finals, basic life support, etc.
Selected volunteers were previously trained at the National Academy for Reaction to Disaster (NDRF) in Nagpur to become instructors at different levels in firefighting, first aid, evacuation procedures and handling uninhabited ammunition.
SCR teams have demonstrated their skills in flood -affected areas of Vijayawady last year, working in demanding conditions that supplied basic supplies to the desperate community, the officials said.
The zonal railway network is via Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka. Each of the six divisions – Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded – has a designated divisional emergency officer (DEO) as well as emergency officers to supervise civil defense activities.
The unit currently led by the Deputy CEO of the Civil Defense of the Udaynath, trained about 6,500 railway staff across various departments and institutions and, according to the main official of A. Sridhar, was recognized as the best executive CD unit.
