South Central Railway (SCR) officials made surprising raids at Vijayawada station and gathered a total fine of 85,000 ₹ from unauthorized retailers on Monday.
The head of the divisional commercial manager, V. Rambaba, said the officers verified the suppliers’ permits and cards and reserved cases for those who sold on platforms without permission or expired permits. The aim of the raids was to provide a safe journey to the passengers, he said.
