South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Saturday (January 31, 2026) inspected Narsapur, Tanuku, Bhimavaram Town, Gudivada and Machilipatnam railway stations and reviewed the passenger facilities in Vijayawada division.
Mr. Srivastava along with Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mohit Sonakiya reviewed the safety aspects of the tracks and level crossings and took comments from members of the public regarding railway development works and projects.
The GM reviewed the passenger facilities, circulation area, coach shed and yard and reviewed the progress of the redevelopment work carried out at Narsapur station under the Amrit Stations Scheme.
He inspected the maintenance and safety of the track at the Bhimavaram shipyard and inspected the passenger facilities at the city railway station. Later, he visited the Upputeru bridge in the stretch and inspected the toilets and waiting room at Gudivada station.
The Director General also inspected the Station Master’s office and circulation area at Machilipatnam Railway Station and on the occasion reviewed the works at Machilipatnam Amrit Station.
Mr. Srivastava was accompanied by station masters, engineers and senior officers of various departments.
