Students studying in classes 6 to 12 of the six lake schools across the country are invited to participate in the virtual construction competition organized by the Ministry of Education next month. Students who come up with ideas and products focusing on self -confidence, indigenous knowledge and sustainability that can help India to achieve its goal by 2047 will be granted from the pool of money from Crore £ 1.
Viksit Bharat Builathhaton 2025, which was started by Dharndra Pradhan Minister of Education on Tuesday (23 September 2025), will start a 13 -hour “live innovation event” on October 13. The aim of the initiative is to combine children from all six Lakh schools and private schools in the country in the country to develop ideas in school education. “There are about 12 crore students in these classes in these classes, and the goal is to get them to innovate ideas for the future,” he said.
Students then take the rest of October to present their ideas and prototypes on the Builathon portal, from which the winners will be selected in the district, state and national levels. The government will support winning ideas and also participate in holding hands, Pradhan said.
Innovation
The immediate goal of the government is to ensure that leaflets for Builathon, with a registration QR code, spread in all schools, while Mr. Pradhan expresses his faith at maximum participation. Registration will be open until October 6, after which teachers will have a week to prepare students for a live event.
On October 13, students will be grouped into teams of three or four to brainstorm ideas or start building prototypes during a two -hour event that will be lived live at the same time from all participating schools, the officials said. Asked if the ministry offers any instructions for content, logistics support or financing the event, officials said it would be left to participating schools.
The panel of experts will pass contributions in November and December to select 1,000 winners at the level of the district, 100 state -level winners and 10 national winners who will be announced by January 2026.
Focus on self -confidence, swadeshi
Students are encouraged to come up with ideas in accordance with four wide themes: Atmanirbhar Bharat (building separate systems, instruments and solutions), Swadeshi (supporting indigenous ideas, knowledge and innovation), vocal for local products and resources) and samriddh Bharat.
Mr. Pradhan, who revealed the logo and sounded for this event, said that the initiative “further strengthens the culture of innovation on local areas by encouraging students to make it and build products on these topics”. Builtorhon’s initiative “will celebrate students’ innovation, creates an innovative renaissance in the country and ensures that young generations become key Samriddhi, Viksit and Atmanirbhar Bharat,” he added.
Builathon is organized by the Ministry of School Education and Literacy in cooperation with Atal Innovation Mission of Niti Aayog and All India Council for Technical Education. It builds on school innovation marathon 2024, which led to programs such as Student Innovative Program (SIP) and Student Entrepreneurship Program (SEP), along with patents and start -ups from the Atal Tinkering Labs laboratories, the ministry said.
