Haryana: School holidays today
On December 1, during the International Gita Mahotsav, 21,000 children gathered at Keshav Park in Kurukshetra to recite verses from the Bhagavad Gita together. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini attended the ceremony. He declared a special holiday for all the students who participated in the worldwide recitation on Tuesday.
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev and Gita scholar Swami Gyananand Maharaj were also present. CM Saini greeted Margashirsha Shukla Ekadashi and Gita Jayanti. He said that Shree Krishna delivered the message of Gita to Arjuna 5,163 years ago.
