Faizan, the inhabitants of Srinagar, he added: “I got 10 calls a day from my parents. The Internet is so slow that I can’t even send whatsApp quickly. We came here to become doctors. Now we’re trying to stay alive.”
Midhat, a fourth MBBS student at the University of Medical Science, said the first night of the strikes was the most frightening.

While she said that the Indian embassy was in contact through WhatsApp, she added that her university had not received great support. “Most of us are afraid and stay inside. We don’t know how long it will continue,” she said.
With the limitation of Iranian airspace and no clear timeline, when the violence is cast, students are now waiting for one thing they say can bring peace to their families – years home.
‘Evacuate us’
