
The authorities at Nagpur Airport received a bomb on Tuesday morning, which launched a massive search operation, PTI reported.
The message added that the threat was sent by e -mail around 7:30 and claimed that an improvised explosive device (IED) was placed in a cigarette package. He also claimed that the bomb could detonate at any time.
The Sonegaon police station was immediately informed about the post office. Then police teams came to the airport, along with the liquidation of bombs, a dog team and a fire brigade. They soon started their intensive control through the airport premises.
“The Indian airport office received e -mail about the threat of a bomb at Nagpur airport on Tuesday morning. The information was subsequently communicated by the airport office here,” PTI said.
“The Committee concerned has assessed e -mail with a threat and all required checks were carried out by various security agencies, including the police and detection and liquidation of the bomb,” he added.
However, no suspicious object has been found so far and search operation is underway.
This is not the first time that such a threat was received at Nagpur airport. Formerly 25 and 26 June, similar threats were received.
