New Delhi: The moment of concern was gripped by fans during the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) vs Gujarat Titans (GT) IPL 2025 clash when Star Batter Virt Kohli injured his finger in a deep middle cylinder.
The incident occurred in the 12th place above the persecution of Gujarat Titans when Sai Sudhasan swept a van from Krunal Pandy with brute force.
Kohli tried to stop the ball, but it slid down and hit the right hand before it rolled over to the border.
When the ball ran, Kohli immediately dropped to his knees and clutched the wounded finger. The stadium fell into the momentary silence as the RCB medical staff rushed to the field.
After a quick assessment in the field, Kohli was able to continue, but looked unpleasant and often bent his fingers.
While the knocking range remains unclear, fans hope it will not affect its performance in the remaining part of the tournament.
Previously, RCB had a heavy start to his shifts after being inserted on the bat, and Kohli himself fell soon on 7 out of 6 balls, with the kind permission of Arshad Khan.
Mohammed Siraj (3/19) led the GT attack and dismantled the highest RCB order when the home side dropped to 42/4 in 6.2 overs.
Liam Livingstone (54 OFF 40), Jitesh Sharma (33 out of 21) and Tim David (32 out of 18) mounted a lively comeback and led RCB to a competing 169/8. Livingstone’s late blitz, including three six outside Rashid Khan in one, proved to be essential for the RCB to give a decent sum.
Given that RCB is already engaged in an inconsistent season, Kohli’s injury could be the main failure.
His form and fitness remain essential for the success of the team. Fans will carefully follow the updates concerning its knocking.
