On Friday, the Supreme Court agreed to hear a request for a directive on restrictions on people, organizations, and others in accusing the “unverified public statement” on the case of the Indian nurses and murder, Nimisha Priya, who is in a number of deaths in Yemen.
The Bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Sandeep Mehta told the petitioner to deliver a copy of the lawsuit of the General Prosecutor R. Venkataramani. The bench issued a notice of action and published a matter of 25 August.
The petitioner Ka Paul, who appeared in person, said he had received a “shocking letter” from Nimisha Priya and was in Yemen in the last few days. “Her mother cares, why are you afraid?” Paul asked the bench.
The petitioner stated that the letter signed Nimisha Priy and her mother. “Both sides respect me as peace.
The petitioner said he was talking to the victim’s family, the leadership of Houthis and others on the matter.
He argued that Nimisha Priya urged a legal intervention to force a complete order of the media gag.
He has currently said that delicate negotiations are underway on this matter and some individuals have made false statements.
The bench said the request would be marked with a similar petition filed by Save Nimisha Priya International Action Council, which expands her legal support.
“What more do you want? You can only announce and mark with this question that awaits here,” the bench told the petitioner.
The petitioner said there should be a complete order of the gag or “let the government speak”.
The application applied for a directive to the center to be immediate coordinated diplomatic measures with Yemen to ensure commutation of death penalty in life imprisonment.
Among other directives, he was also looking for a directive to the authorities in question to move a competent court for a comprehensive, time -bound order to order GAG, which limits all persons and others in publishing any unjustified content or declaration without prior confirmation of the authorized government agency involved in the hearing.
14. August was informed by the attorney for the petitioner’s organization that there was no “immediate threat” for Nimisha Priya.
The Top Court then heard a separate action looking for a directive to the center to use diplomatic channels to save the 38 -year -old sister from Palakkad, who was convicted of the murder of her Yemeni business partner in 2017.
The Supreme Court was acquainted last month with the fact that the execution, which was scheduled for 16 July, was preserved.
July 18, the Center informed the Supreme Court that the effort was to continue and the government tried everything to ensure that Nimisha Priya came out safely. It is imprisoned in prison in the Yemeni capital of Sana’a.
