Modi landed on Jeddah on Tuesday on a two -day state visit to Saudi Arabia.
Upon his arrival, the Prime Minister was welcomed by a ceremonial greeting of 21-Zbrastí and was adopted by the highest brass.
In a special honest gesture, Modi’s plane was accompanied by Royal Saudi Air Force, when he entered the Saudi airspace.
Modi also interact with jovially with members of the Indian community.
He appreciated the performance of the patriotic song “AE Watan” from Bollywood Blockbuster “Raazi”, which was also sung by members of the Indian community.
He also saw several dance performances, including Kathak, and interact with dancers.
Indian flags proudly waved members of the community who showed themselves in large numbers to greet Modi.
Official Modi visit in Saudi Arabia
Modi is on an official visit to the kingdom at the invitation of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman.
This is the third visit to PM Modi in the country after earlier visits in 2016 and 2019.
PM Modi, along with the Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, will be chaired during the visit to the meeting of the second leaders of the Council for Strategic Partnership in India, India, Arabia.
In an interview with Arab News, before his visit to the Kingdom, he appreciated the “unlimited potential” of growing ties in India with Saudi Arabia.
“In a world full of uncertainty, our bond is strong as a pillar of stability,” he said.
He also appreciated the Saudi Crown Prince and the leadership of Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman and called him a “strong advocate of our bilateral ties” and a visionary who inspired global admiration through reforms under Vision 2030.
PM Modi, who spoke of 2.7 million strong Indian communities in Saudi Arabia, told Arab News that he was grateful to King Salman and the Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, “for the sponsorship they provided to the Indian community in Saudi Arabia.”
