The first exhibition organized for the sale of articles of the rural company Artisans Society (SARAS) received a good answer from Parvatipuram residents thanks to the extensive publicity, which gave the administration of the Parvatipuram-Manyam district.
The exhibition, which began on 1 June, takes place in the district headquarters together with the local deities festival, such as IPala Polamma, Erra Kanchamma and Bangaramma Thallibegan and will end 4 June.
Craftsmen from different parts of the country set up a total of 60 stalls. Parvatipuram Mla Bonel Vijaya Channtral visited the stalls and thanked the collector A. Shyam Prasad for taking an initiative to organize an exhibition – which usually takes place in the metro towns.
District Officer Nabard D. Dinesh Kumar Reddy, Director of the Rural Development project of the Sudhara Rani district and other officials coordinated the arrangements for the exhibition.
