India was on rampage in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025, which has so far reversed through its opponents. Men in blue have a UAE, Oman and Pakistan (twice) in the tournament and look like a team to beat. While India checks most of the boxes in their victories, there are still several chinks in armor that could exploit the teams as the competition proceeds.

However, this devastating partnership came at the price, because Wicketkeeper-Bater Sanju Samson was pushed down the order to suit Gill at the top. Samson previously sealed his place as an opener, which was promoted to the role of captain Suryakumar Yadav in October 2024.
