In a heavily formulated X (formerly Twitter) post, Manjrekar asked why selectors were considering alternatives to a star stimulator. “I am shocked that we are looking at any other option than Bumhrah as a test captain! I’m worried about his injury? Then carefully choose your vice-capitan,” Manjrekar wrote.

Manjrekar’s remarks come in the middle of growing speculation that ODI Vice President of SHUBMAN GILL is considered to be the leading candidate for the successor of Rohit Sharma, which is expected to leave the longest format soon.
