The long -term dream of Kerala Sangeeth Nataka is finally realized by creating a specialized bookstore. The Minister of Culture Saji Cherian is scheduled to start a bookstore on Monday in the premises of the academies.
The first publication with the Academy was the country Ramanīyam, who wrote the Ennapadam Rama Bhagavatar during the possession of Kavalam Narayan Panicker in 1964, six years after he was found. Despite the fact that it has brought 78 books over the years that bridge different streams of performing art, the academies have never had reserved space for book selling.
Books with academies have so far been sold through the office by academies, its programs and online channels. The new bookstore will provide the only one to scientists, students and art lovers, a year -round place to buy authoritative publications by academies about music, theater and allied art forms.
In addition to existing titles, there are eight new publications, including the Malaysian translation of the Indian method of conducting renowned theater director Prasann, a comprehensive history of the Academy and complete translation of Bertolt Brecht.
The book will also store Keli, the monthly Academi magazine, the only reserved periodical of the Kerala art, and also offers discounts ranging from 20% to 50% of books.
Minister of Higher Education R. Bindu will also participate in the opening ceremony.
