Sandhu has become part of a rare and unfortunate moment in the history of cricket during a Pakistani clash with Bangladesh in match 3 of the World Cup of Women’s Cup at the R. Premadasa stadium in Colombo on Thursday, October 2.
The left shoulder Pacer was released by a hit-Brack, which made her the first Pakistani woman and overall only the second player who suffered in this way in the history of the Women’s World Championship. The only other instance dates back to 1973, when Lynette Smith, representing international women XI, was released hit-randa against women Trinidad & Tobago in Liverpool.
Bangladesh vs Pakistan, update of the Women’s World Championship
Sandhu’s release was also placed alongside Pakistani male crickets Misbah-ul-haq and Imam-HAQ, both of whom experienced the release of hits in the ODI World Cup. Misbah fell on Ireland Pacer Alex Cusack in 2015 in Adelaide Okal, while the Imam-UL-HAQ was rejected in 2019 by Mustafizur Rahman at Lord’s.
As far as Sandhu is concerned, the incident has developed a dramatic way because Pakistani shifts have already been in problems in eight mines. Sandhu turned to Shorn Acter and tried to play a fine poke in more flattering delivery outside the stump. It was not possible to make contact with the ball, but in the unfortunate reversal of its subsequent graduation disrupted the stumps, which resulted in a rare release of the goal.
Pakistanic dough and cloud
Pakistan fought significantly against Bangladesh and managed only 129 runs at 38.3 overs, and none of their dough could fight. Soon the collapse set the tone because Omaima Sohail and Sidra Amin were released on ducks during the first duck, with Marufa Akter drawing the first blood. Muneeba Ali (17) and Rameen Shamim (23) tried to stabilize shifts, but could not convert their beginnings.
The middle order of Aliya Riaz (13) and Fatima Sana (22) showed some resistance, but cheaply dropped, while lower -order posts were minimal. Sandhu Nashra was rejected for one. Dominated by Bangladeshi pitch, with Shorna Akter used 3 goals for 5 runs and Nahits Akter 2 for 19, kept Pakistan under pressure and prevented any partnership to flourish.
