Samsung’s One UI 7 operating system was launched at the Galaxy Unwacked 2025 event, and it tends to add Google Maps integration to the current bar. The Korean tech giant introduced the current bar and now briefly introduced the new artificial intelligence (AI) in the Galaxy AI suite at the event. Now, BAR displays a wide range of information and insights to users on the lock screen. According to The Tipster, the tool will now also display real-time navigation of Google Maps.

In an article on X (formerly known as Twitter), Tipster Tarun Vats claims that the live navigation feature in Google Maps is integrated into the current bar. The prompter discovered the integration with One UI 7 in Google Maps v25.04.01.717254420. It seems Samsung added support when it was released on OS, but the Mountain View-based tech giant recently launched the feature.

According to the screenshot shared by Tipter, it appears that users will be able to start travel on Google Maps on their supported devices and continue to see real-time navigation on the lock screen within the current BAR. In addition, the feature is said to support live events.
In one of the screenshots, Google Maps is also found sending real-time notifications to ongoing navigation. Interestingly, this is an Android 16 feature, however, a UI 7 current build is based on Android 15. Google may make this feature available for Samsung OS.
It is worth noting that the Bar is now a quick view of the lock screen with short insights. It is a rectangular pole with multiple cards near the bottom of the screen that can be scrolled vertically with an animation similar to the card deck.
On the other hand, the introduction is now a new AI-driven feature that shows an overview of user device usage and daily activities. The latter is an ecosystem feature that is tracked using devices like the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Ring. Some insights that users can see in the short include weather forecasts, energy scores, music and navigation suggestions, and more.
