Samsung explains the AI roadmap of houses
The tech giant explains in a newsroom post about what house AI is and the different platforms and products it will use to make the user experience seamless. The new AI product was proposed by Jong-hee (JH) Han, Vice Chairman, CEO and head of Samsung Device Experience (DX) division. He stressed that Home AI will provide “really personalized” services across all smart and connected devices.
In short, Home AI is a personalized tool that supports AI that caters to different lifestyles of different people living in the same house or apartment. Samsung claims that Home AI learns from user habits and adapts to various routines.
Samsung is also integrating various internal products to make personalized experiences safer and seamless for users. For security and privacy, the tech giant is using Samsung Knox Matrix, which now supports household appliances as well. Using blockchain technology, connected devices can protect users’ homes and data from digital threats.
The company’s corporate operating system for multiple devices will also be equipped with all connected Samsung devices to allow interoperability and help users seamlessly manage all devices. Smartthings is its smart home platform that is also integrating with Home AI. In addition, AI-powered Bixby Voice will also support all smart home connected devices.
It is worth noting that Samsung has not disclosed any timeline yet, as when users may have received updates to home AI and experience a new hyper-personalized experience. Additionally, no list of devices that support HOIS AI has been disclosed.
