Newly elected leader of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Samrat Choudhary was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of the state on Wednesday (April 13, 2026), marking the end of the decade-long political era of outgoing CM Nitish Kumar. Two senior leaders from the JD(U), Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Vijay Kumar Choudhary, were also sworn in as ministers.
Both are likely to be deputy CMs in the new BJP-led NDA government.
