Chandausi Court in the Sambhal district set on Thursday (July 3, 2025) on July 21 to hear a lawsuit against the offer of the disputed Shahi Jama Masjid, which is claimed to be Harihar.
The petitions sought to ban the offer of Islamic prayers that quoted their “questionable status”.
Aditya Singh, a civil judge (division head) took a record of a plea submitted by one Simran Gupta.
The dispute had previously reached the High Court in Allahabad, where the Muslim party challenged the order of the subordinate court for exploring the mosque space.
On May 19, however, the High Court confirmed the decision of the Court and ordered the proceedings to continue there.
The petitioner claimed that since the court was considered to be questioned by the court, Muslims should also be forbidden to offer prayers, as well as the Hindes were limited from worship.
The application asked the mosque to be sealed and placed under the custody of the district judge Sambhal.
Mrs. Gupta also tried to be a petitioner on behalf of the Hindu Party.
Both matters appear on July 21.
The original suit was filed on November 19, 2023 by eight Hindu designers, including advocates by Hari Shankar Jain and Vishnu Shankar Jain.
On that day, a judicial survey was carried out in the mosque.
The second round of the survey was carried out on November 24, after which the matter was placed before the Civil Court in Chandausi. The last hearing took place on April 28.
Lawyer Sri Gopal Sharma, representing the Hindu party, said PTI that the command of the High Court, which refused the Muslim party, was submitted in court in the record.
On the other hand, advocate Qasim Jamal, representing Shahi Jama Masjid, acknowledged that the opposite pages had submitted the Supreme Court’s decision and stated that the legal team of the mosque would be followed by any order of the court.
Attorney Babu Lal Saxen, who submitted a petition looking for a stay on Masazu, said that his client Mrs. Gupta believes that religious activities should be limited to the disputed place until the final judgment is approved.
The case saw violent clashes in Sambhal 24. November 2024 during the second survey in the mosque.
The riots led to the death of four individuals and injuries of 29 police staff.
After violence, the Party of Samajwadi Ziaur Rahman Barq and Shahi Jama Masjid President Zafar Ali in FIRS, along with 2,750 unidentified individuals, appointed Violence.
To date, 96 people have been sent in connection with the incident, including Zafar Ali and several advocates.
