
Hyderabad: The by-election to the Jubilee Hills seat in Telangana is around the corner and some new details about the ‘voters’ have emerged. Actresses Tamannaah Bhatia, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Rakul Preet Singh share the same residential address. Catch? These are the details according to fake celebrity voter ID cards doing the rounds on social media.
According to multiple reports, ahead of the by-elections to the Jubliee Hills seat in Telangana, fake voter ID cards with the names of Tamannaah Bhatia, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Rakul Preet Singh were found with real EPIC voter numbers.
On the fake voter IDs, there are not only photos of actresses, but also a link to the same address.
Following the incident, Election Commission officials have launched an investigation – reported Telangana Today – citing sources with knowledge of the matter.

Voting for the Jubilee Hills Assembly seat by-election is scheduled to take place on November 11, with counting scheduled for November 14.

The by-election to the Jubilee Hills Assembly seat is being held after it fell vacant following the death of BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath in June this year. Gopinath died of a heart attack.

According to local media reports, officials are investigating the matter to determine how the fake cards were manufactured and distributed.
Authorities are also investigating whether the incident is part of a planned disinformation campaign ahead of key by-elections.

BRS leaders claimed that 40 fake votes — including 10 in one house and 30 in another — were detected in Swaraj Nagar, which falls under Borabanda division.
According to a Telangana Today report, former minister and senior MLA G Jagadish Reddy, who campaigned in the locality, also allegedly unearthed 28 fake listings at stall No. 326 in Banjara Nagar of Borabanda division where only six genuine residents were actually living.
Earlier this month, a case was filed against Telangana Congress leader Naveen Yadav for allegedly circulating fake voter cards. The case was filed based on a newspaper report where photographs showed Yadav distributing voter cards to local residents.
