Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Mayawati on Friday (October 2, 2026) accused the Samajwadi Party (SP) of practicing dynastic politics and favoring rich industrialists. She claimed that her recent Rajya Sabha nominations contradicted her claims of fighting for backward, dalit and minority communities.
“As you know very well, BSP does not give tickets to family members, capitalists and the rich. Instead it chooses hardworking Ambedkarites from the poor, middle classes and weaker sections of the society. BSP politics is pure and free of nepotism and money power. SP does the opposite; it pretends to be a socialist, and the party of Ms. so called PDA Ms. X wrote.
“Another notable example is the SP’s decision to nominate Mr. Ramgopal Yadav, a close relative of the SP chief, for the Rajya Sabha elections from Uttar Pradesh. The SP has also nominated Mr. Dhanraj Parimal Nathwani, a prominent businessman, as its second candidate. As before, the SP’s third candidate is most likely the nature and character of the losing candidate.” PDA to vote, but they primarily elect their own family members and capitalists as MPs and MLAs, so the public would be wise not to be fooled by their PDA rhetoric.”
The BSP president warned backward classes, dalits, tribes and minorities to be aware of SP’s double standards. She said that SP’s social justice plan was an illusion. “The upper caste poor, Bahujan Samaj, Muslims and other religious minority communities should be aware that their interests are safe only with the Ambedkarite BSP,” Ms Mayawati added.
