Salman has broken into the top 10 in the batting rankings and is now joint 9th as the joint highest run-scorer behind Bangladesh opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim after completing the series. The 32-year-old also smashed an 89-ball century in the series decider at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur, but his efforts went in vain as Pakistan lost by 11 runs. Salman scored 106 off 98 balls, hitting nine fours and four sixes, but the visitors were bowled out for 279 while chasing a target of 291.
Bangladesh ODI captain Mehidy Hasan also made a big jump in the ODI bowling rankings. The off-spinner has climbed nine places to No. 7 after an excellent run in which he took five wickets in three matches at an excellent economy of 3.33. His best figures were 3/27 from 10 overs in the opening game.
TANZID, TASKIN SUMMER ALSO IN RANKS
Among the other batsmen, Tanzid Hasan Tamim took a huge leap, climbing 31 places to 55th in the rankings. The southpaw has scored 175 runs in three matches at an average of 112.18. He also registered his maiden ODI century in the third ODI, scoring 107 off 108 balls, including six fours and seven sixes.
Taskin Ahmed also rose significantly in the bowling rankings, climbing 12 places to No. 28. The quick has impressed in the ODI series, taking six wickets in three matches at an economy rate of 5.48.
Nahid Rana, who took five wickets in the opening match and rocked Pakistan’s batting line-up, has broken into the top 100 of the ODI bowling rankings after climbing 65 places.
