Sainik School organizes a motivational lecture on circumnavigation of the globe and expedition to Everest

Cadets of the Sainik School, Kazhakuttam, on Saturday got a rare opportunity to interact with two Indian Navy officers who circumnavigated the globe in a sailboat and a mountaineer who scaled Mount Everest.

Indian Navy Commanders Dilna K. and Roopa A. who have circumnavigated the globe aboard the Indian Naval Sailing Vessel (INSV) Tarini and Zuhra Cherukappalli, an experienced mountaineer who has scaled Mount Everest, delivered a motivational talk and interactive session ‘Talk on Circumbe Everest of Exped the Globe’.

Commanders Roopa and Dilna narrated their unforgettable journey through the world’s oceans through presentations, photos and videos. When they talked about the challenges they faced, they emphasized the importance of teamwork, discipline, perseverance, planning and mental toughness. Ms. Cherukappalli shared photos and experiences from her Mount Everest expedition. She spoke about the endurance, mental strength and determination it takes to conquer the world’s highest peak.

Colonel Pramod M., Director, Kerala and Lakshadweep NCC Directorate; Colonel Dhirendra Kumar, Principal of Sainik Kazhakuttam School; Commander Abraham Philip, an administrative officer, joined the faculty and students for the session.
