The Bangladeshi “match player” Saif Hassan said his team invented a “good plan” against Sri Lankan pitch, who worked perfectly on Saturday in their tense conflict of Asia Cup Super 4.
Bangladesh chased 169 for victory and made strong weather at the target, but eventually crossed the finish line with one modified. The victory was only their second in the last 16 games, while the 160 Plus score was chasing, thanks to half shooters from Saif Hassan (61) and Towhid Hidoy (58).
The opener Saif Hassan and Hidoy played the attacking, but calculated the cricket to support their pitch, because Bangladesh won a nerve victory with four goals for Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka set 168 to seven, powered by Dasuna Shanaka 64 of 37 balls. Bangladesh, however, replied Poise, Saif (61 of 45 balls) and Hidoy (58 out of 37 balls) led the chase to 169/6 in 19.5 overs.

Despite the loss of Tanzid Hasan in the first place in Nuwan Thushar Bangladesh never looked in real problems. Skipper Litton Das anchored shifts next to SAIF and included 59 runs on the second goal for just 5.2 overs.
Saif looked at complete control and broke the spinner of the left arm of Dunun Welllalage-Kterna recently returned from participation in the funeral of his father for two sixes, followed by another maximum of Thushara. He reached his fifty at 35 passed before Das fell on Waninda Hasarang.

“The goal was very good and I tried to timing my shots. Litton (DAS) helped me and it was easy to launch with him. He supported a lot, said what would be the next ball. He likes to contribute. The preparation was good, we had a good plan against their divinings (Sri Lanka) and it worked.
Bangladesh seemed comfortable until tension aroused in the last two breaks, but NASUM AHMED hit the winning run with only once delivery.
Captain Litton Das appreciated the bowling unit, especially the Mustafizur Rahman (3/20) and Taskin Ahmed (1/37) for restricting Sri Lanka to a man -made sum.
“We played a few series in front of the Asian Cup and really detonated and chased comfortably.
“Mustafizur’s 19th and 20th and 20th Tasksina changed the game. It looked like 190 but kept it down. Taskin slipped really good (final).
“Whenever you are chasing this way, you are drawn for the next game, but we have to come again a new day, a new team and we have to play our game and,” Das added.
Sri Lanka Skipper Charith Asala as the party admitted that his party could lead better.
“It was a great game. We kept nerves until the end, but it wasn’t enough.
“We were a short 10-15 runs. Dasun Shanaka fired really well at five. He hit Big Six and the changing rooms were happy with the score of almost 170,” said the asula.
