We all know the story of Mighty Achilles. The Greek mythological figure was known as one of the most daring and stronger warriors, seemingly unstoppable and without weakness. As the story continues, his mother, Thetis, decided that Achilles would be immortal by immersing him in the Styx River. But she held him behind the heel and left this place vulnerable.
This eventually happened by his fall. Paris, led by Apoll, hit the arrow on the heel and ended the life of an unbeatable warrior.
Now that you look at how Sai Sudhasan has erupted into an Indian cricket scene, there seems to be some parallels with a brave warrior. Although it does not have the most impressive first-class record-19987 running out of 30 matches-it was in IPL that Tamil Nadu dough created a name for himself. It is not known to be a big Hitter or slogger, a 23 -year -old man relying on timing and elegant campaign to become his mark.
The IPL 2025 season introduced the best of Sudharsan when he collected 759 runs in 15 matches and left with an orange cap. Previously, India was impressed on Australia, and in one of the unofficial tests he scored one hundred – he raised a louder challenge to include it in the test team.

Then came when Sudharsan and everyone waited. Was brought as new No. 3 for India in the Headingley test. And in the most anti -klim fashion fashion, Southpaw was released on a duck in its first test shifts. It was not unparalleled delivery – just a harmless ball on the side of the foot, which he nicknamed.
While he managed 30 in the second shift, Tamil Nadu dough was dropped and had to wait until Manchester was testing another chance. England, however, found a plan-stall focused on short-term vans and balls on the side of the legs, which seemed to bring his fall.
Indian vs vs ENG, 4. Test: Update 1. Day
For some of the immense talent of Sudharsan, it seems to be his Achilles heel – the weakness he has to deal with. The young man himself spoke about it after the daily game and admitted with a smile:
“The honorary answer would be that I didn’t know how I saved her on my leg. But yeah, this English team, we know that they try to do a lot of dough quite often, and probably on this side. They still have a wide outside, giving half -oxening to drive us or down on their legs, they will try to get us a mistake.”
“When I came into this game, I was a little aware of, but it helped,” Sudharsan said.
This means that it does not suit since the shift played by 23 years. He created a noble knocking full of elegant moments and excellent shots. His 61 out of 151 balls was a master class and a reminder of why it belongs to this level.
But again it was one such shot too much that led to his release – Ben Stokes got him better.
So what does Sudhasan have to do?
To limit your natural tendency
A test cricket often requires restrictions – if you are not rishabh pants, most players must hold and play each ball deserve. Sudharsan is a naturally attacking player, although his peaceful behavior could mask this instinct.
But so far, in his release, Sudharsan looked a little eager to get to run, resulting in a soft release. Cheteshwar Pujara, talking to the broadcast operators, pointed out how a shot for Sudharsan seems to be a mandatory move – something he will have to resist, especially under overseas conditions.
“So the negative part is that sometimes plays this full shot sometimes. Positive for him because now runs, defends well and when you spend enough time to fold, leaves the ball.”
“This is a shot that we have to work a little more, because the English team is quite used to using this short -height strategy and that is where it will have to improve. He realized it should not do it. It should be a little control, and that is a shot you can’t control all the time.
BREAKTHROUGH!

Sudharsan shows a promise
As mentioned earlier, despite this unity, Sudhasan has an immense promise. Pujara noticed how well he left the ball and how calm and folded looked at the fold – all the good grades for someone who fired No. 3 for India.
He was particularly impressed by how Sudharsan managed a pressure-critical feature for a long-term test dough.
“I saw him in a first -class cricket. Such bats. He’s an attacking player, but today he took the right balls to hit. He runs well in the goal. This is a big positive, but the way he rides, the way he plays his shots, which was very impressive to see.”
“But at the same time manipulation with this pressure, because when you have just played one test match, and then you get the opportunity to burn in English conditions, it’s the hardest time. Because even if you play on a flat pitch and don’t play on a flat playground, but even when playing on a flat playground, then it always builds on you.”
So for Sudharsan is talent and skill for everyone to see him. The only problem is the small defect – figurative Achilles heel. The one who must be remedied quickly before the opposition starts at it every time.
