
Sai Sudharsan, Indian dough attributed Shadow Batting as a key part of its mental preparation before the fourth test against England, which began on July 23 at Old Trafford, Manchester.

Sudharsan, who replaced Karun Nair while playing XI, was amazed on 1 day after he accumulated his first test for half a century. The left -hander burst on No. 3 and scored folded 61 out of 151 balls and hit seven borders along the way.
Shadow Batting remains the main part of its routine and helps him to remain mentally sharp and ready for high -pressure situations.

Sudharsan was also visibly disappointed by how he was released. While Ben Stokes attempted a shot, he threw the ball, resulting in a direct catch for Brydon Carse. Later he noted that the end of the pavilion offers another reflection, which caused the stroke to play more demanding for the dough.
“I was definitely disappointed that I got out in the shot. I probably give the best next time. I felt release, held a little more, and a little more from the pavilion. In fact, they saw a little more in the coming days.”
Sudharsan was a top scorer of the day when India finished day 1 to 264 for four after 83 overs. Yashsvi Jaiswal and Kl Rahul also lent him support with knocking 58 and 46.
