Bengaluru South City Corporation Commissioner KN Ramesh on Tuesday (March 31) chaired a monthly meeting with Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) that focused on the corporation’s budget for 2026-27, department-level development work and grievance redressal mechanisms.
Mr. Ramesh announced that ₹2.25 crore has been allocated for each department in the upcoming budget, with another ₹75 crore earmarked specifically for maintenance work. “The company is planning a number of infrastructure projects, including flyovers, underpasses and road widening initiatives aimed at easing traffic congestion in the city,” he said. Mr. Ramesh said a new system is being introduced to improve accountability and asset management, with a focus on allowing citizens to voluntarily monitor property and assets owned by companies.
