Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Sunny Joseph has refuted the allegations leveled against the party by the Congress and the BJP in connection with the Sabarimala gold theft case.
He told the media in Kannur on Saturday (January 3) that the allegations against the Congress leaders linking them to Unnikrishnan Potti, the prime accused in the case, would not stand. Mr Joseph pointed out that the Congress is not in power in the state and at the centre. So it was obvious who was able to help the suspects in the case.
Meanwhile, in response to a question, he said the party is yet to start seat-sharing talks for the upcoming parliamentary elections. Senior management appointments will be discussed. Mr. Joseph also said that he has yet to decide not to contest in the assemblies.
