Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) chairman Ravi Naidu has criticized YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders for allegedly committing several scams during their five-year tenure. He alleged that the party and its media channels are spreading false propaganda about the Kurnool bus tragedy.
He told the media in Tirupati on Monday, “Former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his family have descended to the point of politicizing even painful accidents. YSRCP and Sakshi media are hovering like vultures over dead bodies. They are creating fake stories that the bus accident was caused by a motorcyclist who consumed adulterated alcohol.”
“In a show called Satyameva Jayate on Sakshi TV channel, they are reporting lies and creating fake stories. Investigation revealed that the biker bought liquor from a licensed wine shop. In the past, they played dramas like episodes of Narasura Rakta Charitra, Pink Diamond and Kodi Kathi. It is not right to do politics without values,” said Ravi.
“Why is YSRCP engaging in dirty politics by trying to politicize every incident? In 2024 general elections, the party won only 11 seats because it spread such false propaganda with the intention of gaining political benefits. If this continues, it will not win even a single seat in the next elections,” he added.
The SAAP president further said, “After completing the investigation into the irregularities in the liquor scam, the coalition government will take action against those involved in the Aadudam Andhra scandal. The Vigilance and Enforcement wing has already completed its investigation and is about to submit its report to the government.”
