The new investigation revealed that Russian supervision sensors have been discovered by the UK nuclear submarines – alarming development that military officials consider the threat of national security but have not yet been published.
System spies, some of which were found in the waterways surrounding Britain, are assumed that the Kremlin has planted them to monitor and potentially sabotage critical military infrastructure, including the British fleet of four Vanguard class bearing jader missiles.
“The war rages in the Atlantic”
“There should be no doubt in the Atlantic, it is raging in the Atlantic,” a senior military resource told newspaper. “This is a cat and a mouse that has continued since the end of the Cold War and is now re -warming up. We see a phenomenal amount of Russian activity.”
The discovery deepened concerns in the Royal Navy that these monitoring operations are part of the wider strategy of the Greezone War of President Vladimir Putin – Klandestin’s activities were supposed to destabilize the West without invoking an open conflict.
Suspicion falls on Russia
The Navy sources reported that the facilities show “military accuracy”, indicating that it was placed as part of a coordinated Russian operation. At least 11 Internet cables in the Baltic Sea have been damaged over the last 15 months. Defense officials believe it could have been due to the fact that Russian ships pull anchors along the seabed – often use old tankers from Putin’s shadow fleet, which usually help skirts of oil sanctions.
“You really need to keep (motor) power to drag, so it’s a deliberate act,” the defensive dedicated.
“Removing from Greyzone”
Captain Simon Pressdee, the head officer on board the specialized Royal Navy tracking vessel, said that the role of the navy is not only to neutralize the threats, but also to expose them to them.
“Our task is to defeat any threat to the United Kingdom and also remove them from Greyzone,” Pressdee said. “We do it the latter by understanding who is involved and providing this evidence to avoid misunderstandings and make those who threaten the United Kingdom responsible for their actions.”
Atlantic bastion: A new defensive strategy of British inflammation
In response to the Navy, the Navy designed the main program called Atlantic Bastion-None Efforts to Deploy Fleets of Air, Surface and Underwater Vehicles and Sensors for British Waters and Wider Northern Atlantic.
The aim of the quick monitored version of this initiative, Codenamed Project Cabot, is to bring new skills online in collaboration with private underwater infrastructure, such as energy and communication providers.
Call to introduce sea mines
Privately, some naval officers claimed that the United Kingdom should consider reviving the tactics of the Cold War era, including the deployment of sea mines to discourage Russian underwater disruption.

MOD: “We strengthen our answer”
In his statement, a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense (MOD) stated: “We are determined to strengthen the security of the critical offshore infrastructure. Together with our allies of NATO and joint expedition forces, we strengthen our reaction to ensure that Russian ships and aircraft cannot operate in secret near the UK or near NATO territory.” “
The spokesman added: “Our continuous nuclear discouraging agent at sea still monitors the world oceans undetected, as was the case for 56 years.”
