
Russia proposed the second round of direct conversations with Ukraine, which will take place on June 2 in Istanbul, according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. The Turkish city, which hosted previous interviews, was reopened for the upcoming negotiations.
Lavrov informed US Minister Marco Rubio in a telephone call about Moscow products and said that Russia will submit “specific proposals” during the meeting, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
KYIV: It is not against, but waiting for the Russian “Peace Memorandum”
Ukraine expressed conditional openness to interviews. Defense Minister Rust with Umerov confirmed that Kyiv is ready for involvement, but criticized Russia for postponing his memorandum of ceasefire.
“We reaffirm the readiness of Ukraine for a full and unconditional ceasefire and ongoing diplomatic engagement,” Umerov said.
“We are not against other meetings … But we are waiting for their memorandum so that the meeting is not empty and can actually move us closer to the end of the war.”
Umerov stressed that Ukraine had already sent its conditions and called on Moscow to act before the deadline of 2 June.
Trump frustrated by Putin’s delay
US President Donald Trump expressed growing irritation with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the intensification conflict. When we speak from an oval office, Trump said, “We’ll find out whether or not or not, or if it is, we will answer a little differently,” Trump said.
Despite his frustration, Trump excluded immediate new sanctions and quoted the need to maintain space for diplomacy.
“Really bad things would happen if not for me,” Putin warned in truth in a social contribution and added that the Russian leader “plays with fire”.
Putin Aide rejects Trump’s notes
Putin’s highest helper Yuri Ushakov responded sharply to Trump’s comments and said that the US President seemed “about the reality of war”.
Battlefront escalation despite interviews
Although diplomatic interviews are floating, the struggle on Earth is still intensifying. Russia claimed that overnight reduced 296 Ukrainian drones in 13 regions. Ukraine said it hit more devices for the production of Russian weapons.
The Ukrainian army also said that Russia had launched 88 drones and five ballistic missiles, while the advancements in the northeastern region continued. Moscova now claims control of several villages after pushing the border.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zlensky confirmed that 50,000 Russian soldiers are now located near the sum, although he said that Kyiv is taking preventive steps.

Germany, Ukraine to develop long -range missiles
In Berlin, the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced that Germany and Ukraine would cooperate on the production of long range missiles. The Kremlin condemned this step and called it “irresponsible” and provocation to support the conflict.
War without end in sight
In February 2022, Russia launched an invasion of Ukraine to full extent after years of fighting between the Ukrainian forces and Russian -supported separatists in eastern Ukraine. Three years later, Moscow controls almost one fifth of the Ukrainian territory.
Despite the modest territorial gains, both sides continue to suffer from severe losses and economic tension when the war pulls.
